Family-Safe Free Movie Websites for Kids
Free, legal, and parent-vetted. Each site below has a real Kids mode — not just a category filter — and a known parent company you can hold accountable.
What "family-safe" actually means
Most "free movie sites for kids" lists are just the regular adult-skewed sites with a "Kids" tag added. That's not enough. We only included sites that do at least one of these:
- Have a real Kids mode that locks the homepage to kid-only content (PIN to exit).
- Are kid-only by design (PBS Kids, YouTube Kids).
- Run no advertising inside kids content (Kanopy, Hoopla, PBS Kids).

Parental controls cheat sheet
A real Kids Mode locks the homepage so a kid can't navigate to general adult content. Here's the quick setup for each:
- Tubi Kids: Tap Profile → Kids Mode → set a PIN. Exit requires PIN.
- YouTube Kids: Set up a child profile, choose Preschool/Younger/Older, set screen-time timer.
- Hoopla Kids: Tap menu → Kids Mode → set a PIN. Mode persists across sessions.
- Kanopy Kids: Toggle Kids mode in the menu — Kanopy locks browsing to the children's section.
- PBS Kids: No setup needed. The whole site is kids-only.
- Pluto TV Kids: No native PIN. Use a browser extension or device-level parental controls.
Sites to avoid for kids
Not every site on our main list is kid-appropriate. Crackle, Plex Free, and Fandango at Home Free have minimal Kids sections and adult content one click away. Use them with kids only with you in the room. For unsupervised viewing, stick to the six above.
Worried about the legality side? See our safety guide — every site here is fully legal and ad-funded.
